OVERVIEW

The Rediscovery School Program (RSP) is a Cultural and Outdoor Education program which provides an educational approach to Rediscovery. RSP works creatively with learning groups to enhance their curicullum by taking them back to the original classroom; back to the land. Our goal is to bridge the gap between the ancient wisdom of our Elders and the modern world, thus empowering participants to move forward with a healthier and more dynamic perspective.

RSP encourages participation from Aboriginal and non-Aborignal peoples, providing educational opportunities that addrress understanding and respect for all cultures. RSP maintains a master agreement with the Calgary Board of Education and has been working within Western Canada for the past 8 years. It's important to note that RSP is a broad reaching program that is available to learning groups from all over and is not limited to a specific region. It's also important to note that RSP does not provide free in schools services, but rather subsidized programs that focus on wilderness based education.

By offering this kind of culturally based, experiential learning approach, Ghost River Rediscovery will empower learning groups to get more out of their education and help them to achieve longer term academic goals.
